Arth-Manthan 2006 had a very emotional start, as students waved the
national flag with patriotic fervour and enthusiastically sang Vande Mataram. Apart from the academic orientation, Arth-Manthan also had cultural progammes and patriotic dances based on Vande Mataram and songs from the movie Rang De Basanti.

THEME OF ARTH-MANTHAN 2006:

Participants' feedback

          Results-2006

One and half decades of reforms has catapulted India into the path of high economic growth. This nation of more than a billion people is transforming into a power to reckon with in the global arena. Though this is remarkable, there is much more to be achieved…

Today we have only a few world-class companies, a few Narayan Murthys, Azim Premjis and Ratan Tatas to boast about. We need many more brilliant business leaders to lead the country. Among other obstacles on the path to growth are the forces trying to pull back the process of liberalisation; we need to weed them out.

India has one of the youngest populations of the world! But the full potential of the youth is not being utilised. The youth is waiting and willing to take on the world. Are we giving them good opportunities by way of education and good living conditions?

Talking about our own Mumbai - India’s commercial capital, a day’s rain drowning the city, bomb blasts killing hundreds of innocent people, increasing traffic and pollution – all these issues trouble the youth and make them apprehensive about the future.

Though the youth may not like loud patriotism, they still believe in the country. Strengthen this belief! Inspire them to create a promising future… for themselves! For the India! For the world!

To you the youth of India: Instead of complaining about the system, come forward to change it. As in the movie Rang De Basanti, DJ puts it, “There are two ways to live life – one is to accept things as they are and tolerate them or take the responsibility to change the trend.”

Friends, Let your vision shape the future of India!!!
